Cards & Gift Bags

I have spent the morning making some cards & altering gift bags. Tomorrow is a special day for me and hubby - its our wedding anniversary. We have been married for 4 years and my niece turns 4 tomorrow as well. I'm not going to put the pictures of the card and gift bag up on my blog just yet, because I know hubby checks my blog to see what I'm up to.

Altered Sketch Book

Everyone that comes into my shop has a comment about the altered sketch book. Unfortunately I do not stock sketch books, but you can find them at stationery shops and they are really cheap. All you need to do is cover the book, add lost of ribbons and charms to the binding and then use scraps of paper to cover the inner pages. The reason I did the sketch book was to add all my favorite quotes and poems, and use up some of my scraps. You could use this idea as an album, journal etc. It would also make a great gift.

My Tiny Little Bookshelf - For my desk

I have spent the day working on my desks bookshelf which is only 24cm high. I used matchboxes for my drawers, a toilet roll for my pen holders and scraps of paper to make my 16 page mini albums.

I'm thinking that this is a great gift for mothers day. I still need to finish it off - what I'm thinking is a inspirational quote in each drawer, photo's of VIP in the mini albums, a nice pen and pencil set in the pen holder and something on the heart.

 

I found these cute little POST IT pads at PNA in Campus Square which I have stacked on the top shelf.

This is great for my desk - my favorite photo's and my favortie pens.

Cupcake in a mug – Fridge magnet

With winter around the corner I thought it might be a good idea to make fridge magnets of quick & easy tasty treats. I know in winter we spend most of our time indoors watching movies and there is nothing nicer than watching movies with lots of junk food to eat. So I have made a fridge magnet of the 5 minute chocolate cake in a mug and I am making one for Melk Kos.

Mommy's Little Angel

I decided to try and use the flocking I have had for over a year now - I used the blue flocking on the angel wings and then gave it a spray of glitter varnish.I think it works quite nicely for the wings?

Thank You Cards-Using Cuttlebug Dies

I have been very busy playing with my new toy - the Cuttlebug! I used some of the dies to make these 2 thank you cards.

This is really a fantastic little machine!
