My Recipe Stand & Recipe Book

Well I have eventually finished my recipe stand - for those of you who have been waiting patiently for the finished project. The recipe stands are made out of wood and very easy to cover.

You will need 1 piece of patterned paper & paint to cover the stand - that's is.

I found this recipe book at CNA a while ago and a few others - they are quite expensive, but exactly what I was looking for. I added dimensional glaze to the fabric spine & the apron bit which was on the album when I bought it. The album cover was very light so I added some brown paint and I stuck on my ribbon, swirl, flower, brads and my cutlery.

I would really love to hear what you think about the recipe stand & book. :)

We have got some of the wooden knife, fork and spoons in stock and remember the recipe stands are on special this week R70 each!

Adventure - Single Page

Well I did this page this morning using the new paper from FabScraps. I decided to play around with some of my perspex stars - add a little paint on the back and stick down.
So tell me what you think about using perspex embellishments - do you think I should stock them or not?
There are all sorts of fab perspex embellishments - swirls, flowers, stars & more. I would really love to hear form you! :)

Card Machine & New Perspex Rulers

Well it's all sorted - the card machine is working - YIPPEE - we can now accept card payments!!!

Perspex Rulers - 3 new designs in stock, they are really fabulous.

The New Shop

I have upgraded to a double story - LOL! Well I have eventually settled into the new shop, all the stock is merchandised and in some sort of order. Its definitely better than the previous shop. There is parking off the road right in front of the shop, much better area, much quieter, all open plan and the lighting is fabulous.
Yes the shop has 2 floors - the shop is downstairs and the class room upstairs, and I think this is fabulous! All round its a definite upgrade.

I still need to get my stuff sorted - I can't find my scissors, business cards etc. etc but I'll get there.

Thanks for all the emails, phone calls and sms's regarding the new shop - I'm very happy that you are all so excited about the new shop. I have had quite a few of my ladies coming in to see the shop, and they LOVE IT! YAY!

Well I hope the rest of you will pop in soon for a cuppa and to see the new shop!

Guest Teachers - well I have decided that we need to get a guest teacher in once a month to teach us something fab. Be sure to watch this space for class details.

Card Payments @ Shoestring - Well I have had quite a week trying to get the new telephone line installed and then to find out that my order number does not exist, but thanks to technology I will have a modem installed today and I can then accept card payments and DON"T NEED a telephone line!

Well now I off to go and find the missing goodies and hopefully get started on all my projects that have been put off for the past 2 weeks! :)

Wooden Box for my cards (Mosaic)

I have spent the morning working on this wooden box for my cards. I have quite a bit of mosaic tiles left from various projects so I decided to try something - mosaic a section of the boxes lid. I quite like it! I added some pink embossing powder to the wet grout and heated it just to give it some colour.
 

This was supposed to be my recipe box, but that did not work out like I wanted - I cannot find scrapbooking recipe goodies anywhere? :(

So tell me what you think about this idea?
